The GRAMMY-nominated singer with the silken voice and masterful sense of swing returns with a concert celebrating favorites from across her acclaimed career. She will be performing everything from timeless jazz standards and Broadway hits to Brazilian classics and more!
A remarkable musician who has always had one foot in jazz and one in cabaret, Monheit has come a long way since her debut at the Thelonious Monk Institute’s 1998 International Vocal Competition, and performances at the White House, on The Late Show with David Letterman, The View, and The Today Show showcased a performer whose appeal extends far beyond the jazz club.
The stylistic breadth of her fifteen albums clearly shows a love for timeless standards, the Broadway stage, the Brazilian pop of Ivan Lins, and the hits of Paul Simon, Judy Collins, Paul Williams, and Judy Garland, and her newest session is a confident statement of purpose by a vocalist comfortable in her own skin and with the music she loves.
On the heels of her intimate 2021 Club44 session Come What May, dedicated to gems from the Great American Songbook and celebrating her 20th anniversary as a recording artist, and her enchanting 2022 holiday release The Merriest, comes a sparkling new collection which makes its Bay Area debut with this performance.
